Head of Search

Responsibilities

  • Work with the CEO to develop our go-to-market paid search proposition
  • Flesh out the proposition to encompass all Google properties (e.g. shopping, search, YouTube)
  • Work with the social and creative teams to develop a Google strategy which is differentiated from our competitors
  • Support with the selling in of the proposition to existing and new clients
  • Deliver best-in-class paid search campaigns, including initial campaign setup as well as ongoing testing and optimisation
  • Assist with the design and recruitment of the paid search team as we grow

Experience

  • Knowledge of best practice in search/Google ads and up-to-date campaign management skills
  • Experience working on large online retail accounts
  • Understanding of how to leverage automation to drive campaign management efficiencies
  • Keen appreciation for the recent developments in Google ads and what implications these have for our ecommerce clients
  • Appetite for starting off as a “player manager”, meaning you’ll be able to run campaigns initially whilst building out a team to take this off you in the medium/long term
  • Evidence of bigger picture thinking and the ability to define our “go-to-market” approach for Google ads
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent business acumen, commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Ability to contribute to the sales process including pitches
  • Ability to communicate and work with multiple areas of the organisation including Senior Management, Marketing, Sales and Account Management
