Campaign: ‘Movers and Shakers – Nest hires Beatrice Quarshie and John Clarke as joint head of paid socials’

The announcement of Nest’s hire of Beatrice Quarshie and John Clarke as joint head of paid socials was featured in Campaign’s Movers and Shakers list this morning, its weekly round-up of hires, departures and promotions across the industry.

They join as Nest Commerce has overseen rapid growth over the past year with revenues up more than 50% year on year with a string of new clients including Reiss, Monsoon, Nadine Merabi and Damson Madder.

Reporting to Director of Operations Rodrigo Aspillaga as part of a new division, the two will manage global paid social activity for its fast growing clientbase across channels including Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and Pinterest. They will ensure the effective implementation of cross-channel strategies and that learnings are applied from across Nest’s clientbase of 40+ ecommerce brands, maximising ROI.

Quarshie’s previous role was at MG Empower where she managed paid media activity including influencer marketing. She has worked for a number of brands including the White Company, ASOS and Levi’s. Meanwhile Clarke worked at ecommerce agency Genie Goals where he implemented paid social activity for a number of brands including Mamas & Papas, Biscuiteers, and Lucy & Yak.

According to Aspillaga: “I am delighted to welcome John and Beatrice to the business as we continue our rapid growth trajectory. Our approach is paid social first and bringing these innovative experts with a track record of success will help us provide the best in class strategic support our clients require. They truly understand what is required from a cross-channel perspective in 2024 and will empower our clients to continue to drive growth and outperform the market.”
